Alfalfa Capsules
Laurie in North Texas -
All my life I've had a sluggish elimination system. I've tried everything, from acidophilus products, Fibersure, Citracell, Flax, prune juice, but nothing seemed to help for more than a few weeks if at all. Sometimes would go for 5-6 days without eliminating. The only thing I have found that keeps me regular are alfalfa capsules. Alfalfa is a wonderful source of fiber, countless vitamins and minerals, as well as great for the lymphatic system. Started taking them as part of a health regimen to help with cellulite elimination which seems to be working too! (Go to www.t-tapp.com for more info). You can find them online or in healthfood stores. These have definitely helped me in more than one area!

Magnesium
Anonymous in Bronx, NY -
My doctor recommended taking a teaspoon of magnesium with 8 oz. of warm water or juice and it really worked. I took powdered magnesium, mixed it with hot water so it dissolved than added more liquid. My doc recommended taking it every half hour until not needed anymore. I found it very helpful.

Aloe Vera juice
Kristina in Tucson, AZ USA -
My accupuncturist recommends drinking approx. 1/3 cup of aloe juice daily, either the thick, jello-ish kind or liquid type is fine. Tastes OK, a bit sour--add a bit of water or juice to thin it out. It really does help me, and I've had a pretty chronic situation over the years before discovering this.

Whole flax seed
Sarah Dawley in NM -
When nothing else works, I find that eating 2-4 Tablespoons of raw flax seed will guarantee a good bm. Flax also has tons of omega 3s, its good stuff. I also cook raw flax with my rice... plumps up nicely and adds a nice nutty flavour.

Warm Milk Coffee
WMK in Germany -
For a Warm glass of milk, mix a table spoon of instant coffee such as Nescafe after a breakfast and have a nagging constipation disappear as warm milk and coffee both induce smooth bowel movements. I discovered this accidentally and it works for almost all the people I recommended. Give it a try definitely if you are sufferring from constipation. I would like to hear from people if it worked for them. Feel free to drop an email at k3wm at yahoo.com
